Job Description: The Department of Natural Sciences at Assumption College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Biology at the assistant professor rank to begin August, 2019. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in neuroscience and sensory systems, with additional courses that are currently offered in the Natural Sciences Department. This is an expansion position that will support a newly implemented neuroscience major and Center for Neuroscience. The Natural Sciences Department is housed in a modern science building with dedicated faculty-student research space.

Requirements: A Ph.D. is required, with research experience, post-doctoral work, and undergraduate teaching experience preferred. We seek a candidate committed to high quality teaching, undergraduate mentoring and advising, and an active research program in a teacher-scholar fashion. The research specialty should be compatible with funding available for a small liberal arts college. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.
