The University of South Dakota, Psychology Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position within its APA-accredited Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology to begin August 22, 2019. The Clinical Psychology Program values candidates whose research, teaching, and mentoring will engage issues of diversity and inclusion. The Program houses the Disaster Mental Health Institute, which delivers an undergraduate minor, a graduate track within Clinical Psychology, and a graduate certificate in Disaster Mental Health Response. The Program seeks candidates who will lead an active research program, teach graduate and undergraduate classes both face-to-face and online, and supervise student research and clinical training. Applicants should show potential for research productivity and extramural funding, clinical and research supervision, excellence in classroom teaching and student mentoring, and commitment to principles of social justice. All areas of research expertise will be considered, but scholarly interest in neuroscience, disaster psychology, acute traumatic stress and/or the provision of services across a wide diversity of people and communities is preferred. This position requires teaching undergraduate introductory psychology courses and graduate courses related to specialty area.  We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching, research, and/or service that they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community.

Qualifications include: Ph.D. from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and readiness for licensure (post-doctoral supervision may be provided). Experience working with members of marginalized groups is preferred.
Salary/Compensation: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
